| UCF Cancels Deal With Pegasus Landing Over Mold Complaints |

Orlando — According to local reports, complaints about mold in apartments have led the University of Central Florida to cancel its contract with an off-campus student housing property. The university previously funneled students to the 744-unit Pegasus Landing apartment community as a way to help alleviate its lack of on-campus housing. The community is situated at 12440 Golden Knight Circle, less than a mile from campus. The owner of the property, Capital Project Finance Authority, claims it has been working on a solution to the mold problem, but the university claims it has run out of patience in dealing with the owner. The university is immediately pulling its resident assistants out of the community and has set up the Landing Assistance Network to provide students with information in regards to their housing options.
