| Campus Crest Files for $385 Million IPO |
|
Charlotte, N.C. — Charlotte-based Campus Crest Communities, Inc. has filed with the SEC to raise approximately $385 million in an initial public offering of common stock. Raymond James is underwriting the IPO. Campus Crest Group, the predecessor company, is a self-managed vertically-integrated developer, builder and owner of purpose-built student housing. The company intends to quality for real estate investment trust (REIT) status by December 31. Campus Crest owns 27 student housing properties operating under The Grove brand in 11 states.
