In the $5-to-$10-million category, ABC cited the Global Learning Center as well as the Honors Residence Hall at Greensboro’s Bennett College for Women. The buildings were part of a $22 million capital improvements campaign for Bennett College. Hardin served as the design-builder.

In the $25-to-$50 million category, Hardin was awarded for UNC-Greensboro’s School of Education classroom and office building. The $47 million project, a joint venture with Rodgers Builders and Walter B. Davis, was also awarded LEED gold certification and is the first green building on UNCG’s campus.

Another Hardin project at North Carolina State University that was recently completed earned LEED silver certification. The project included comprehensive renovation of and an addition to two existing structures to create campus facilities group offices, break room, conference and meeting spaces, as well as service garage areas, including repair and equipment wash bays.
