Austin-based ACC has purchased its first property near UT in its home market. Austin, Texas  — Apartment Realty Advisors (ARA) has announced the sale of Jefferson 26, a 1,026-bed, Class A student housing property a few blocks from the University of Texas-Austin in the West Campus neighborhood.

American Campus Communities (ACC) was the buyer and Jefferson at West Campus, L.P, was the seller, which was represented by ARA managing principal Patton Jones, along with ARA national student housing co-directors Chris Bancroft and Chris Epp.

Although ACC is based in Austin, Jefferson 26 is its first UT property. "The University of Texas is a market ACC has been waiting patiently to enter for some time," said Epp. "The core attributes and limited future development pipeline made it the right time for ACC to buy at UT."

The asset features one of the only clubhouses in the submarket, a resort style pool and spa, a fitness center with tanning beds, a rooftop garden, game room with billiards and a business center.
