EDR Introduces Several New Executives

Memphis, Tenn. — EdR is adding several key executives to the company. Scott Barton — Vice President of Acquisitions; Liz Keough — Vice President and General Counsel; Randy Simpson — Vice President of Information Technology; and James Kenner — Director of Interior Design.

EdR Scott-Barton-old-photoWEBBarton will be responsible growing EdR's portfolio of collegiate housing assets and managing the leasing efforts for retail spaces at all EdR properties. He came to EdR from CB Richard Ellis Memphis, where he was senior vice president of retail brokerage services for 10 years.

 

EdRLiz-KeoughWEBKeough has amassed a variety of experience through her legal career. As a director with Martin, Tate, Morrow & Marston, Keough has been extensively involved with EdR for the past eight years and worked with the team of lawyers that helped transform EdR from a private company into a real estate investment trust in 2005. She has experience in a number of areas that specifically support EdR's service lines, such as commercial real estate transactions, developing and negotiating contracts, joint venture agreements, litigation and tax incentives and payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) programs.

 

EdR RandySimpsonWEBRandy Simpson came to EdR from Diversified Trust, where he served as vice president of information services. While at Diversified Trust, Simpson was responsible for managing and overseeing the design and delivery of the company's client reporting systems, website, other information management systems and central operations department.

 

EdRJames-Kenner---PhotoWEBJames Kenner will is experienced in commercial interior design, student housing renovations and new construction. Most recently he was a partner at Inter-Logic Design in Memphis, Tenn., and worked directly on projects for major firms such as Hilton Hotels, IHG (Holiday Inn) and Marriott Corporation.
