John LisCarrollton, Texas — RealPage has brought in John Lis to head up Velocity, the company's utility management system for the rental housing industry. As president of Velocity, Lis will lead strategic direction, overall management and profit and loss functions.

Since 2011, Lis had been chief executive officer of ista, a utility billing company based in Alpharetta, Ga., where he managed regional operations and sales efforts.

Prior to that role, he has served as a senior vice president at American Utility Management, as well as vice president of energy management at Apartment Investment and Management Company (AIMCO).
