Student Housing Developer UHS Celebrates Twentieth Anniversary

univ Place IIUniversity Place IISt. Petersburg, Fla.  — Student housing developer University Housing Services (UHS) is celebrating two decades in the sector. Established on Sept. 4, 1992, UHS has developed more than 20,000 student housing beds across the U.S.

The company's most recent developments are Kennesaw State University's University Place II and Florida Gulf Coast University's Osprey Hall. University Place II, a 451-bed community, is the second student housing complex for KSU that was developed by UHS. Osprey Hall, an 870-bed facility, is the 11th student housing phase developed by UHS for FGCU. Both projects were completed this summer.

UHS is currently working on Talmadge Lofts, a 450-bed, mixed-use facility geared toward Savannah College of Art & Design students.

Chairman and Founder, William H. Mills, Jr., cites their partnership approach as the reason for the company's long history of success.

"UHS has been so successful because of our strong belief in establishing partnerships with clients," Mills said. "Since Day One, we have always put our clients and their specific needs first."

Greg Minder, UHS' President & CEO, adds that UHS has been able to maintain a leadership position because they have focused on student housing since the beginning.

"As university student housing needs have evolved over the years, we have continued to be at the forefront, giving our university partners more choices and more involvement toward the most student-centered housing communities," Minder said.
