300-Bed Residence Hall Planned for Western Michigan University

WesternMichKalamazoo, Mich. — Western Michigan University officials have set a July groundbreaking date for the first phase of a residence hall on the campus of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.

WesternMichKalamazoo, Mich. — Western Michigan University officials have set a July groundbreaking date for the $12 million first phase of a residence hall on the campus of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. The four-building phase will house more than 300 students in one-,two-, three- and four-bedroom units. Construction of the second phase, which will add 500 beds, will commence within the next 4 years. Completion of the initial units is slated for fall 2011. According to a press release, this marks the first undergraduate student housing developed on campus since 1965.
