SH Development To Become First LEED Certified Residential Development in Baltimore

UB_MidtownBaltimore — The Fitzgerald at UB Midtown, a 275-apartment mixed-use development sitting on 4.6 acres of land owned by the University of Baltimore (UB), is set to become the largest LEED-certified apartment community in the Baltimore area. The project is registered with the U.S. Green Building Council and is currently operating a sustainability strategy that will implement a number of environmentally conscious design features for energy and water efficiency, as well as improved air quality and recycling initiatives. In addition to its residential component, The Fitzgerald will house 24,000 square feet of retail space anchored by Barnes & Noble College Booksellers Superstore. Retail development is expected to deliver in early summer, while the development's 1,245-space parking garage opened on January 11. The Fitzgerald is a joint venture between Greenbelt, Md.-based The Bozzuto Group, Gould Property Co., NYSTRS and former Baltimore Raven Michael McCrary.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
