Indiana, Pa. — Memphis, Tenn.-based Education Realty Trust (ERT) has been selected by Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) to develop a new hotel on the school's campus. The project will be completed by Allen & O'Hara Development Co., ERT's development subsidiary. The hotel will contain 140 rooms and be branded under the Courtyard by Marriott flag. Groundbreaking is expected to start as soon as possible, with a tentative completion date of spring 2011. It will be located adjacent to the new Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex, which is also under construction and scheduled for a spring 2011 completion. ERT has worked extensively with the university; over the last 4 years, it has assisted in the Residential Revival, a $241 million project that aims to replace 3,500 beds of student housing on the IUP campus
