Memphis, Tenn. — Education Realty Trust has promoted Thomas Trubiana from senior vice president to executive vice president of the company. Trubiana will continue his role with the company as chief investment officer. Trubiana has more than 30 years experience in the student housing industry. He got his start as a resident assistant with Allen & O'Hara, a wholly owned subsidiary of Education Realty Trust. He also served as the president of CEO of American Campus Communities from 1997 to 2003. Trubiana has been involved in the development and/or management of more than 90 student housing properties totaling more than 60,000 beds.
