Ambling, Arledan America and Gross + Cohen Partner for Second Kalamazoo Project

Kalamazoo, Mich. — Renovations and additions attracting Western Michigan students.

Kalamazoo, Mich. —  Ambling Management Company has announced a partnership with Gross + Cohen, a Boston-based real estate investment firm, and Arledan America on a second student housing community acquisition for Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

 

After acquiring Thirteen24 Lafayette in March 2011, Gross + Cohen Real Estate and Arledan America expands its student housing portfolio with a 204-bed project rebranded as “The Village at Thirteen24”. In addition to the renovations made to their existing asset, Thirteen24 Lafayette, Gross + Cohen and Arledan America constructed a new 2,800 square foot clubhouse with a state-of-the-art fitness center, leasing office, business center and game room. Renovated units have seen a 51 percent rent growth and occupancy rate of of 99 percent.

 

The Village at Thirteen24 offers two-, three-, and six-bedroom apartment options. The two bedroom, one bath and three bedroom, two bath options are garden-style apartments with stackable washers and dryers. The six bedroom townhome option includes 3.5 baths and two living rooms. These townhomes include large kitchens, balconies, and full-size washers and dryers. All apartments and townhomes located in The Village at Thirteen24 offer individual lease agreements and include water, trash removal, cable and Internet. The Village at Thirteen24 is located in the Greek neighborhood and is six blocks from Western Michigan Unviersity.
