Lakeland, Fla. — Vestcor developed the 90,000-square-foot facility on Florida’s newest state university campus.

Ambling Student Housing, a division of Ambling Management Company, has leased the new 241-bedroom housing facility at Florida Polytechnic University, which opened its doors to students for the first time on Aug. 20.

The on-campus community, called The Residence Hall at Florida Polytechnic, features high-speed and wireless internet access, a fitness facility, game room and many more amenities. Vestcor Communities developed the 90,000-square foot facility. Ambling Student Housing signed on as the management company early in 2013.  Ambling Student Housing will work directly with the university’s Student Life department to maintain an environment conducive to academic success at the new university.

Florida Polytechnic University, located just outside of Tampa, is the newest member of the Florida State University System and offers six full-time degree programs, with a focus on STEM programs such as technology and engineering.
