ARA Newmark Closes $500 Million in Student Housing Sales in Seven States

Austin, Texas — ARA, A Newmark Co., has sold more than $500 million in student housing properties since February, totaling more than 5,034 beds serving major universities in seven states.

The eight sold properties include The Ridge at Gainesville, offering 661 beds near the University of Florida in Gainesville; The Blake, offering 270 beds near the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia; Station Nine, a 457-bed community located near Duke University in Durham, North Carolina; Parkhaus and Links at Lincoln, two communities located near the University of Nebraska in Lincoln offering 192 beds and 1,020 beds, respectively; Stadium View, a 956-bed community located near the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis; Aspyre at Assembly Station, a 760-bed community located near the University of South Carolina in Columbia; and Crowne at Campus Pointe, a 718-bed community located near the University of Tennessee.

Ryan Lang, executive managing director at ARA Newmark and head of its Student Housing Group, represented the sellers in each transaction with partners Brandon Buell and Trent Houchin. The company’s student housing team is based in Austin, Texas.
