Lubbock, Texas — With new service, students can watch TV on any computer in any location.

Lubbock, Texas — Cable operator Suddenlink Communications will be deploying Internet TV at five Asset Campus Housing communities this summer. The video service, called Suddenlink2GO, will allow residents to access more than 120,000 full-length TV episodes, movies and video clips from any laptop as well as a few other devices in any location in the United states. The service will be included in the residents’ rent.

Two communities are in College Station, Texas: Cambridge at College Station and Crossing Place at College Station. Two are in Lubbock: Gateway at Lubbock and 25 Twenty. The service will also be available at Legends at Nacogdoches, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

“Multi-screen services such as Suddenlink2GO are the future,” said Henry Pye, vice president of resident technology services, a division of RealPage. “While we believe there will always be a place for the large TV in living areas, personal viewing for most students will migrate to PCs, tablets, smartphones and other Internet-enabled devices.”
