Campus Living Villages, Northwestern State University to Redevelop Residence Hall into Live-Learn Community

Natchitoches, La. — Northwestern State University and Campus Living Villages are set to begin the redevelopment of Varnado Hall, an on-campus residence hall, into a live-learn community for the university’s Creative and Performing Arts program.

The development will include 194 units of student housing; apartments for visiting artists and live-on faculty; music practice rooms; recording studios; and art studios. The partnership will also redevelop an existing ballroom into study space for daily use with a grand concert hall for performances. A completion date for the project has yet to be announced.
