Philadelphia — Philadelphia-based Comcast is expanding the company’s Xfinity On Campus program to 36 new universities this year.
The service, which is included within room and board for students living in on-campus housing, features access to 100 live cable channels, as well as TV shows and movies via Xfinity On Demand.
While off campus, students can use their university credentials to sign in and access online programming as part of their subscriptions via the Xfinity TV app. Xfinity On Campus students can also upgrade to a selection of premium channels at additional cost, including HBO, Showtime, STARZ and the Sports Entertainment Package.
Xfinity On Campus is expanding to colleges including Northeastern University, University of Notre Dame, Temple University, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania, University of Southern Mississippi, Villanova University and California State University, Fresno. A new cloud DVR has been added to the service at no additional cost in correspondence with the expansion.
