Madison, Wis. — The construction of Core Spaces’ The James student housing development near the University of Wisconsin campus in downtown Madison is ahead of schedule.

The company recently celebrated by placing the last yard of structural concrete on the roof deck of the 12-story, 366-unit building. Community amenities at the property will include a rooftop sundeck with a pool, hot tub, built-in lounging areas and barbecue grills; a fitness center featuring a yoga room and outdoor meditation garden, a spa with a steam room and a virtual trainer and classes; a club room with a coffee bar; “mini-market” break room provisions; an executive business area with computers and printers; a climate- and access-controlled parking garage; and free, building-wide wi-fi.

The complex will also feature convenient retail shops. The development is expected to open for summer 2017 occupancy.
