New Brunswick, N.J. — Construction is under way for a $39 million student housing project on the Busch Campus of Rutgers University. The three-building, 501-bed project will be a live-learn community focusing on the life science and engineering disciplines. It will feature a large outdoor courtyard, a social program space that can accommodate up to 300 students, a study lounge with room for up to 80 students and a computer lab with room for classes of up to 60 students. The bedrooms will be arranged in a suite-style configuration with shared bathrooms. Completion is slated for fall 2011. The project architect is Atlanta-based Niles Bolton Associates.
