Dinerstein Sells Sterling 42nd Street

A state pension fund purchased the community, which is located in Tampa near USF.

Tampa, Fla. —  The Dinerstein Companies, has disposed of a student housing property located in Tampa near the campus of the University of South Florida. Sterling University Housing, Dinerstein’s student housing division, developed the property, which is know as Sterling 42nd Street, in 2009. The community contains 722 beds in 196 units. Amenities include two resort-style pools, a fitness center, a cyber café and a tanning salon. Occupancy was 98 percent at the time of closing. The buyer was a state pension fund. Marcus & Millichap’s National Student Housing Group represented both parties in the deal. Campus Advantage will be providing property management services.
