EMORY AWARDED ULI GRANT TO HELP WALKABLE CAMPUS INITIATIVE

ATLANTA — Emory University has been awarded an $18,000 grant through the Urban Land Institute’s Atlanta Chapter.

ATLANTA — Emory University has been awarded an $18,000 grant through the Urban Land Institute’s Atlanta Chapter to help foster its goal of creating a campus that will serve as an international model of a walkable campus community. The university has developed a “Walk n’ Roll” campaign to encourage more pedesrtian travel among the campus community through an online walking map, educational tools and community outreach. The grant was presented at ULI’s fall meeting in San Francisco in early November.
