Hardin Begins Student Housing Renovation/Expansion Project at Savannah State

Savannah State University will soon have 607 new beds of on-campus housing

Savannah, Ga. — Atlanta-based Hardin Construction Co. has begun a $19.9 million student housing renovation and expansion project at Savannah State University. An existing building will be demolished to make way for three new buildings totaling 170,000 square feet. The new buildings will provide 607 beds in suite and semi-suite configurations for freshmen students. In addition, Adams and Morgan halls, which date back to the 1920s and 1930s, will be renovated. The buildings will provide academic, conference and social space to support the new residence hall. The project architect is Atlanta-based HADP Architecture. The construction timetable was not released.
