Icon And Campus Acquisitions To Build 63-Bed Boutique Project at UCSB

Santa Barbara, Calif. — Joint venture set to break ground on 21-unit property with commercial space.

Icon.UCSB.GroundbreakingSanta Barbara, Calif. — A joint venture between Beverly Hills, Calif.-based The Icon Company and Chicago-based Campus Acquisitions is preparing to break ground on a 21-unit, 63-bed mixed-use student housing project near UCSB in the Isla Vista area of Santa Barbara. The complex will also contain 6,000 square feet of ground floor and second floor commercial space. Icon has another project planned in the Isla Vista area for 2012. Bank of the West is providing financing for the project, while San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based Robbins Reed will serve as the general contractor for the project.
