Atlanta — The Lane Company has made significant strides recently in expanding its reach to the student housing market. While Lane’s management arm, Lane Management LLC, has been active in the student housing arm for 15 years, the company has recently created a division focused on the management and operation of off-campus student housing properties. Rick Jones will lead the new division, which will include two new employees with backgrounds in the student housing industry. Wesley Deese will serve as regional property manager; he joins from University Housing. Michael Mulholland joins as a property manager from JPI. He will manage The Bellamy Student Apartments in Louisville, Ky. Jones and Deese will be based in Lane’s Charlotte office.
