by Katie Sloan

The project will contain 378 beds of housing and a campus bookstore on the ground floor.

La Verne, Calif. — The groundbreaking will occur later this month for a new student housing community on the campus of the University of La Verne in the Los Angeles suburb of La Verne. The new project will be constructed on a former campus parking lot at the intersection of D Street and 2nd Avenue. It will feature 378 beds of housing in 68 units. A majority of the units will contain four single- and double-occupancy rooms with a shared common area. Resident advisor units will also contain kitchens. The ground level of the building will contain 8,300 square feet of retail space, which will be occupied by a new campus bookstore.

Hanover Pacific is developing the project, and KTGY Group is designing it. The construction timetable was not released.
