Multifamily Developers Debut Student Housing Property in Erie, Penn.

Erie, Pa. — Complex that will target upperclassmen and grad students will open fall 2014.

Erie, Pa. — Hudson Student Housing will break ground in spring 2013 on a 192-bed, two-building, 48-unit complex that will target upperclassmen and graduate students at Penn State Behrend. This is the first student housing venture for Hudson Companies an owner/developer of multi-family housing and commercial office buildings throughout Pennsylvania and holdings in Austin, Texas.

The partners include John M. Hudson, Mark J. Voytik, Tyler M. Hudson, Susan D. Hunter and Eric J. Hunter. Hudson Student Housing has selected Pittsburgh-based Indovino Associates as the project architect; Continental Building Systems, Pittsburgh, as the general contractor; Sanford Associates, Erie, Penn., as the civil engineer and Campus Advantage, Austin, Texas, as project consultant. Occupancy is scheduled for the fall 2014.
