AUSTIN, TEXAS — Brian Nickel, senior executive vice president and chief investment officer of Austin, Texas-based American Campus Communities, will leave his position on March 31, 2010, to explore entrepreneurial opportunities. Nickel will continue on the company’s board of directors. Executive Vice President Jamie Wilhelm and Senior Vice President William Talbot will assume Nickel’s duties in the investment area, while Senior Vice President Daniel Perry will assume Nickel’s capital markets strategies duties. Nickel has been with ACC for 14 years.
