San Antonio, Texas — The Vegas style pool is accompanied by numerous other amenities.
San Antonio, Texas — NRP Group has begun constructing "LUXX," its 15-acre, $33 million, 694-bed community near the University of Texas at San Antonio. The project, which broke ground in May and will be complete in August 2014, will include what's being dubbed as a Vegas-style pool.
This amenity is the approximately 3,000 square feet and features outdoor cabanas, a social lounge with an outdoor kitchen, barbeques and fireplaces, a swim-up bar with submerged seating, multiple large, flat-screen TVs, a wet deck with contemporary lounge furniture, extensive landscaping and a secluded hot tub.
Other amenities include a Disc Golf course on a regulation-size Goaltimate course, a half-field disc game similar to Ultimate Frisbee. LUXX will also feature a sand volleyball court, a park and recreation area featuring a performance stage, a movie screen and outdoor gaming areas for bocce ball, washers and corn hole.
Also being built into this development are tanning rooms and a fitness center with flex studio space for spin, yoga and Fitness On Demand video workouts. Residents will have 24-hour access to PC and Mac workstations and printers, a café and lounge, an arcade game station, indoor and outdoor study nooks and a conference room with multimedia presentation capabilities.
"We are taking student living to a level that has never been seen before in San Antonio," said Dan Markson, senior vice president of development of NRP Group. "We have conducted extensive market research among students at UTSA and around the nation, and we are bringing to life a community that will exceed the distinct needs and desires of today's college student.
