Urbana-Champaign, Ill. — Ruckus Networks, an ARRIS company, and Pavlov Media, one of the nation’s largest private providers of broadband services for multifamily real estate, plan to trial U.S. Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) 3.5 GHz LTE access points near the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

The CBRS spectrum will give Pavlov Media the ability to provide cost-effective improvements in wireless buildings and outdoor coverage with increased capacity for areas with heavy data traffic. “CBRS will be part of our solution offerings to enhance cellular connectivity in the thousands of locations we serve which house hundreds of thousands of people,” says Mark Scifres, CEO of Pavlov Media. “We believe that our CBRS deployment with Ruckus will be critical to mobility in multi-dwelling units going forward and are planning for a national rollout as soon as possible.”
