Pierce Education Properties Promotes Executives

San Diego, Calif. — Matthew Maruccia and Maureen Lannon move into advanced roles within the investment, management and development firm.

MarruciaSan Diego, Calif. — Pierce Education Properties (PEP), a firm focused on student housing investment, management and development, has promoted two senior executives. Matthew Maruccia, who joined PEP in early 2008, has been promoted from vice president of acquisitions to chief investment officer. In that role, Maruccia will lead efforts related to PEP’s national core and value-added student housing acquisition programs. Maruccia also oversees acquisitions for development projects and directs new business development for student housing property management company, PEP Property Management. While with PEP, Maruccia has overseen the acquisition of more than $300 million worth of student apartments nationwide.

Lannon

PEP has also promoted Maureen Lannon from director of marketing to senior vice president of marketing. Lannon has 22 years of marketing experience and joined PEP in 2013. She is responsible for corporate marketing, as well as sales, advertising and public relations for the firm’s student housing and real estate development divisions.
