Central, S.C. — Mainstreet Student Living has launched a crowdfunding initiative to raise funds for the development of a new on-campus community at Southern Wesleyan University in Central, South Carolina.

Mainstreet Student Living is seeking upwards of $1.8 million on behalf of MS Vita SWU LLC through a private placement offering solely to accredited investors. The 68,000 square-foot, on-campus community will offer 243 beds. Shared amenities will include a state-of-the-art clubhouse, study lounges, a resident lounge with a television and a fully functional kitchen.

The $9.3 million community is projected to be complete in August 2017. Helping with this effort is Oregon-based CrowdStreet, a crowdfunding marketplace and software platform that connects accredited investors with institutional-quality real estate investments.
