West Quad, which CA Student Living calls a “dorm alternative,” is in an area known as Seniorville, which is within walking distance to campus, the Green Street corridor and nightlife.

Designed on nearly 3.5 acres, the completely gated West Quad community will be comprised of a five-story apartment building with retail space and parking, as well as townhome-style apartments. A courtyard in the middle of West Quad will contain a swimming pool, hot tub, sand volleyball court and community pavilion with barbecue grill stations and outdoor viewing screens. Other amenities and features include fully furnished units, granite countertops and flat-screen TVs. Other building features include a club lounge, fitness training facilities, theater and private and group study spaces.

Demolition began in June on the concrete batch plant previously occupying the site, and foundation work is currently underway. The community will open in August 2015. The architect is Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and local construction firm, Broeren Russo Construction will serve as the construction manager.

CA Student Living has eight projects that total 3,500 beds opening this fall and nine projects that total 4,300 beds under construction for fall 2015.
