University House Communities Unveils Renderings of UT West Campus Development

Austin, Texas — University House Communities has unveiled new details about the amenities, as well as new renderings, for its new student housing community currently under construction in Austin.

University House Austin is a 20-story multifamily student community located one block west of the University of Texas at Austin that will feature 188 apartments consisting of 504 beds, as well as a new University Lutheran Student Center on the first floor, which replaces the original center, built on the project site in 1971.

University House Austin will feature amenities such as expansive clubroom with pool and Ping-Pong tables, wireless gaming and multi-screen TV walls, terrace-level pool with Jumbotron LED television, two-story Genius Lounge with Mac and PC stations, private study pods and conference rooms with Smart Board technology, as well as a fitness center with integrated media.

A variety of fully furnished floor plans will be offered at University House Austin, including studio, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom flat and townhome units. The building will also include a multi-level covered parking facility below the residences. The property is on track to open for the Fall 2016 semester. Pre-leasing opportunities will begin this summer. UHC intends to secure LEED certification for the project, which was designed by Rhode Partners Architects and is being constructed by Rogers O’Brien Construction.
