Syracuse, N.Y. — Philadelphia-based Campus Apartments Inc. has been selected to manage the Campus Hill Apartments Syracuse Portfolio, a collection of 50 off-campus student housing properties that serves the Syracuse University community. The portfolio totals 256 units and 706 beds. It is owned by New York City-based Salmanson Capital LLC. With this portfolio, Campus Apartments has more than $1 billion worth of student housing assets under its management, comprising more than 26,000 beds in 23 states. Salmanson Capital originally acquired the portfolio in May 2007 for a total of $26 million. Since then, it has increased the size of the original portfolio by 12 percent through acquisitions in the market.
