Fort Worth, Texas — Greysteel has arranged the sale of University Village, a 16-unit multifamily property located one block from Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth. The community is the closest off-campus housing option for TCU students, according to Greysteel. Andrew Mueller of the company’s national multifamily team arranged the sale on behalf of the undisclosed buyer and seller. Further details on the property were not provided.

Houston — Ascendant Development has completed Haven at Elgin, a 649-bed student housing project that serves students at the University of Houston. The 16-story building sits on a 1.3-acre site that is adjacent to campus. Units range in size from 497 to 1,985 square feet and are furnished with vinyl plank flooring, granite countertops, kitchen backsplashes and stainless steel appliances. Amenities include study rooms on every floor, a fitness center with yoga and spin studios, outdoor kitchen space and a resort-style saltwater pool.

Huntsville, Texas — McNair Collegiate Partners has arranged the sale of Campus Edge Huntsville, a 192-bed student housing property located adjacent to the Sam Houston State University campus in Huntsville. The garden-style community is composed of three buildings offering four-bedroom units. Shared amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, private study lounges, a pet park and lounge area. Jeyton McNair and Mitch Holt of McNair represented the seller in the disposition. Both the buyer and seller were undisclosed.

Atlanta — PeakMade Real Estate has been awarded management of 10 student housing communities totaling 6,500 beds. The company was also recently awarded management of four multifamily communities totaling 500 units. The properties are owned by 14 different companies and span nine states, including California, Georgia, Florida, Nevada, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. Five of the student housing projects are currently under development. Lubbock, Texas — Technology provider Quext has acquired smart building technology platform Homebase for an undisclosed price. The combined company will create a single source for multifamily operators to receive smart technology and managed Wi-Fi solutions for residents. The two organizations will continue to independently grow their product offerings. Homebase CEO Blake Miller will join the Lubbock, Texas-based company has its new chief product officer.
