Houston— CLV Global CEO assumes U.S. operations duties.

Houston — Campus Living Villages’ Global CEO, Martin Earp, has relocated to Houston to guide the company’s U.S. operations from its North American headquarters. Current U.S. CEO Jim Short will continue as chairman of the CLV U.S. Board of Directors. The move is part of CLV’s worldwide strategy to strengthen relationship with its existing university partners and empower local managers to drive the performance of its facilities. Earp’s relocation will ensure that the international effort is rolled out to the U.S. market.

Short has been with Campus Living Villages — and predecessor Century Campus Housing — for more than 17 years. He has helped CLV develop into one of the largest student housing providers in the U.S. He has undertaken a variety of roles during his tenure, including the recent refinancing of 16 on-campus student housing communities, which were sold into the private placement market on a 20-year debt term.

“It has been a privilege to help establish this company and develop it into one of the major players in the student housing category,” said Short in a statement. “I am equally excited about the future, which will allow me to return to my roots as a strategist and continue to guide CLV’s growth.”

Earp said, “Jim Short has been instrumental in the success of CLV to date, and I am very happy that he has agreed to continue his association with the company as Chairman of the CLV US Board.”
