Construction Underway on North Residential Hall and Dining Commons at the University of Chicago

Chicago — Mortenson Construction, Studio Gang Architects and the University of Chicago have reached a halfway point in the construction of North Residential Hall and Dining Commons, expected to open by June 2016.

Foundations and reinforced concrete and steel structures for the three residence towers and dining hall are largely in place. Mortenson expects that the buildings will be mostly enclosed before the first snow.
