Syracuse, N.Y. — Education Realty Trust has closed on the ground lease and begun construction of its second company-owned apartment community on the campus of Syracuse University. The $29.8 million Campus West project is expected to open in Fall 2012 and will contain 312 beds for law students, graduate students and upperclassmen. The ground level will have 5,000 square feet of university-leased retail space. The project is anticipated to meet LEED-Silver certification upon completion.
