Holder Properties Tops Out Second Phase of 650 Lincoln at USC

Columbia, S.C. — Holder Properties has topped out the second phase of 650 Lincoln, located on the campus of the University of South Carolina.

650 Lincoln features 279 apartment-style units to accommodate 881 students, 25,000 square feet of restaurant and retail space, two parking garages and other amenities. 

The first phase of 650 Lincoln opened for residents in August 2015, with all 584 beds occupied for the fall and spring semesters. The second phase is currently under construction and is on schedule to open in August 2016. Designed to LEED Silver specifications, Phase II will include 297 beds, a parking deck and additional retail space. Both phases combined total more than 400,000 square feet. 

Each fully furnished one-, two- and four-bedroom apartment at 650 Lincoln will offer students private laundry, fully equipped kitchens, wood plank-style flooring, granite countertops, flat-screen TV’s and Wi-Fi.  The community features a leisure pool, recreational activity lawn, fire pit, hammock lounge, outdoor movie screen, BBQ grills and outdoor dining terrace.  Other amenities include a clubroom, fully equipped fitness center, Internet cafe with coffee bar, and study and game rooms on each floor. 

Retailers in the property include Barberitos, Jittery Joes, Tropical Smoothie and The Community Table, a full-service restaurant. The building was designed by Ayers Saint Gross, and the contractor is New South Construction. Holder Properties will manage the property upon completion.
