Clemson, S.C. — JLL has secured a $22.4 million loan for the construction of Hartwell Village Apartments, a 433-bed student housing community located near Clemson University in South Carolina. Roger Edwards of JLL arranged financing on behalf of the developer, The Preiss Co. The community will be part of a larger mixed-use development, Hartwell Village, which will include two hotels alongside a retail center occupied by Ulta Beauty, Marshalls, Five Below, PetCo, Michaels, Aldi and Rack Room Shoes. Hartwell Village Apartments will offer shared amenities including a resort-style swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness center and a clubhouse. A timeline for development has yet to be announced.
