West Lafayette, Ind. — A joint venture between the Purdue Research Foundation, Balfour Beatty Campus Solutions and Walsh Investors has broken ground on Aspire at Discovery Park, an 835-bed student housing community located within a $1 billion development district on the west side of the Purdue University campus in West Lafayette.

The three-building, 387,000-square-foot complex will offer studio, two- and four-bedroom units alongside 18,000 square feet of community and retail space. Delivery is expected for August 2019. The 7 million-square-foot Discovery Park District is a partnership between the Purdue Research Foundation and master developer Browning Investments, and will include a hotel and conference center; restaurants; retail, office and business parks; research facilities; and industrial space.
