Joint Venture Building 598-Bed Community In Boca Raton

— A joint venture partnership among Rosemurgy Properties, Giles Capital Group and Lewis Rental Properties will develop University Park, which is being billed as the first, purpose-built student housing project in Boca Raton, Fla. It will serve students attending Florida Atlantic University and Palm Beach State College. Construction is underway, and University Park will open to students in the summer of 2015.

The architect is RLC Architects; the general contractor is Current Builders; interior design services are being provided by The Childs/Dreyfus Group; Innovative Student Housing is the property manager; and HFF is managing construction financing.

The 279,097-square-foot community will include eight, four-story buildings with accommodations for 598 beds in 159 units. University Park will offer amenities including a 13,500-square-foot, two-story clubhouse with student lounge and juice bar; a 24-hour fitness facility with a cross fit room and yoga studio and tanning beds; video gaming rooms; computer labs; study and conference rooms, and vending areas with student supplies and snacks.

Outdoor features will incorporate a resort-style pool area with green space for lounging, covered barbecue grills, fire pits, and study hammocks. The community will have 1 gigabit of internet speed and wireless internet throughout the property, secured indoor bicycle storage, valet waste pick-up, and limited access gated entrance. Free transportation will be provided in the form of a private shuttle bus to campuses.
