Gainesville, Fla. — A joint venture between Landmark Properties and W5 Group is set to break ground on The Metropolitan at Gainesville, a 464-bed student housing community located near the University of Florida campus in Gainesville.

Construction will commence this fall with completion scheduled for fall 2023. The property will offer 169 units with bed-to-bath parity alongside shared amenities including a resort-style swimming pool, fitness center, study lounge and jumbotron.

“We are pleased to be developing our latest student housing community at the University of Florida, which has historically been one of our best-performing markets and one where our current assets are 99 percent leased,” says Wes Rogers, president and CEO of Landmark. “We are especially excited about growing our relationship with W5 Group as they expand their foray into U.S. student housing.”
