Columbia, S.C. — Peak Campus Development has begun construction on a 218-unit/660-bed apartment community in Columbia within two blocks of the University of South Carolina (USC) main campus and adjacent to Columbia’s Five Points commercial district.

The project is slated to open in August 2016.

The project offers 15 unique unit plans, including lofts, in a five-story residential building with two active courtyards. All residential units will come fully furnished with high-end finishes, private bathrooms in every bedroom, walk-in closets, full-size washers and dryers, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.  Most units will also include a private balcony. Indoor amenities include a two-level multi-purpose room, business center and a state-of-the-art fitness center with rock climbing wall, yoga and spinning studios, and fitness-on-demand.

The building exteriors will receive streetscape improvements along the Gervais and Harden Street corridors. The active courtyards will contain a resort-style pool, hot tub, fire pit, bocce ball, and ample seating and lounge areas.
