Newly Formed Joint Venture ILM Capital To Acquire and Develop Off Campus

Reston, Va. — ILM is a combined entity consisting of Gross + Cohen and Chain Bridge Capital.

Reston, Va. — The principals of two firms, Gross + Cohen Real Estate Investors of Boston, Mass., and Chain Bridge Capital of Reston Va., have formed ILM Capital. The firm will be focused on acquiring or developing off-campus student housing investments nationally.

 

In recent years, the firms have acquired 2,500 beds at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, the University of North Florida, and Texas A&M University. The principals of the firm include Michael P. Wheeler, Michael Cohen, Janelle Tiernan, Richard Hart and Carl Olzawski.

 

The principals and co-founders of ILM have several years of real estate and operational experience including investment, property management, asset management, leasing, lending and brokerage services. They have sponsored, owned, operated, and/or managed student housing facilities at Purdue University, the University of Louisville, Western Michigan University, the University of Notre Dame, University of New Hampshire (multiple campuses), the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, University of North Florida, and Texas A&M University.
