NMHC & InterFace Join Together to Hold Joint Student Housing Conference in October

by Katie Sloan

In light of the unparalleled disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, NMHC and France Media, publisher of Student Housing Business and parent company of the InterFace Conference Group, will be combining their individual student housing events to hold a joint Student Housing Conference and Exposition October 6-8 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel.

This one-time event will bring together the best of both group’s conferences – France Media’s InterFace Student Housing and the NMHC Student Housing Conference – and offer the industry one major event to attend this fall, ensuring maximum attendance and networking and also helping the industry by reducing travel and related expenses.

The NMHC/InterFace Student Housing Conference will bring together the sector’s best and brightest to deliver the knowledge and connections necessary for leaders to shape their future success and the future of the industry – which has never been more important than now. The two organizations will jointly work on planning the event’s estimated 20 panel sessions. The SHB Innovator Awards will also be presented during the conference.

“Given the impact of the pandemic on everyone in the student housing sector, it is great news that NMHC and InterFace have partnered to hold a joint conference this fall,” said Bob Clark, CEO of Peak Campus and chair of NMHC’s Student Housing Council. “I am wildly impressed and grateful that these two organizations were so proactive in creating this solution.”

“When we looked to reschedule our postponed InterFace Student Housing Conference from April, we realized our proposed new dates would have been a month before NMHC’s conference,” said Richard Kelley, publisher of Student Housing Business. “Rather than stretch the industry in two directions in a short period of time, we decided to come together and create an event that will offer attendees everything they have come to know and expect from each conference, plus even more. We are confident the industry will rally around our combined event and that one + one will equal three.”

Registration is open for this new combined event. All prior registrants of the postponed InterFace Student Housing Conference from April will automatically have their registrations transferred to the new event.

Hotel reservations are also open and should be made directly with the Loews Miami Beach Hotel online or by calling the Reservations Center at 888/879-0462 (toll free) or 615/340-5778 and asking for the NMHC/InterFace Student Housing Conference rate.

NMHC and InterFace are going to bring the industry together October 6-8 – make sure you are part of this special event.
