Minneapolis — Place/BV Student Housing Fund has purchased a University of Minnesota student housing community for an undisclosed amount. Stadium View, formerly known as The District on Delaware, is a 956-bed high-rise community overlooking TCF Bank Stadium. The community features two-, three- and four-bedroom units with private bathrooms. Amenities include a fitness center, a computer lab, a clubroom, a 40-seat movie theater, heated underground parking and outdoor courtyards. The new buyer, which will also manage the property, plans to complete several capital improvements, including cable and internet upgrades as well as the installation of WiFi in the courtyard. Place/BV Student Housing Fund is managed by a joint venture between Atlanta-based Place Properties and Chicago-based Blue Vista Capital Management.
