Bloomsburg, Pa. — Husky Korners, one block from Bloomsburg University, was purchased by a local owner. Lowest rents in the market, RRA says, create value-add opportunity for purchaser.

Husky Korners was converted to student housing in 1986.Bloomsburg, Pa. — Rittenhouse Realty Advisors has brokered the sale of Husky Korners Plaza, a student housing complex adjacent to Bloomsburg University, for approximately $3.6 million. The three properties were built in 1939 and converted to student housing in 1986. The complex comprises 86 beds and 14 retail commercial spaces. The transaction also included a parcel with 80 income-producing parking spots across the street. The units, which range from studios to four bedrooms, historically have had 100 percent occupancy, according to RRA, and rents for this property are the lowest in the market.
