Syracuse, N.Y. — Syracuse University plans to renovate and convert the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel & Conference Center into student housing.

The renovation of the Sheraton, among other renovations and developments planned for the campus, was announced in the university’s “Campus Framework” planning document released earlier this week. Plans also include the development of a new boutique hotel, as well as the addition of West Campus housing and Ostrom Avenue Housing.

The university has used 66 rooms of the Sheraton as alternative housing for men and women on a single floor of the hotel for years. The Campus Framework plan will be implemented over the next 20 years, and will include three phases of development and renovation on-campus.
