Tuscaloosa, Ala. — Spaces Management, in partnership with Progressive Properties, has broken ground on Blue Haus, a 114-bed student housing community located near the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
The property will include two garden-style buildings adjoined to Midtown Village, a retail center home to tenants including Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, Panera Bread and Five Guys. The property will offer one- and two-bedroom units furnished by University Furnishings with bed-to-bath parity. Residents will access their units through Assa Abloy’s Bluetooth Signature Lock series, which allows students to unlock their door with their phone and to grant visitors access using their phones. The community is set to open in July 2019.
